Hayley Matthews is the second-highest wicket-taker in the WPL. The Mumbai Indians all-rounder has taken 41 wickets in 29 games at an average of 17.56, an economy of 7.24, and a strike rate of 14.53. Matthews won the Player of the Tournament award in the inaugural edition of the tournament. Matthews missed the first two matches for MI in 2026. She was the highest wicket-taker in the tournament at the end of the last season. MI had picked Matthews for her base price of INR 40 lakh during the auction for the first season. 3. Sophie Ecclestone – 38 wickets

4. Nat Sciver-Brunt – 35 wickets

Nat Sciver-Brunt, another all-rounder from MI, is on this list. She has picked up 35 wickets in 31 games in the WPL at an average of 22.54, an economy of 7.89, and a strike rate of 17.14. Sciver-Brunt is yet to bowl a maiden over in the tournament. She has been an effective performer for the team with the bat and is the leading run-scorer in the tournament. On March 11, 2023, Kapp took five wickets for 15 runs against the Gujarat Giants Women, and it is the second-best bowling figures in the league.
